I work closely with you, translating your ideas into detailed sketches, computer renderings and/or 3D models. This collaborative process ensures the final jewelry piece is exactly what you envisioned.

Skilled Jewelry Manufacture and Craftsmanship

After finalizing the design, I move to manufacture, using traditional techniques combined with modern technology to bring your design to life. From casting and/or fabricating precious metal components from raw material to cutting and hand-setting the stone(s), every step is handled with care to ensure durability and beauty.

I work with a variety of metals including gold, platinum, and silver, tailoring the manufacturing process to suit each material’s properties. This attention to detail guarantees that your jewelry not only looks stunning, but also lasts for generations.

Comprehensive Jewelry Cleaning and Maintenance

Owning fine jewelry means regular care to keep it looking its best. I offer complimentary professional inspection and cleaning services that restore shine and remove dirt or oils that accumulate over time for the life of every piece I make. I am also happy to clean, restore and refinish jewelry which I did not manufacture on a fee-for-service offering.

Beyond cleaning, I provide maintenance services such as tightening loose prongs, polishing metal surfaces, and inspecting clasps and settings. These preventive measures help avoid costly repairs and keep your jewelry secure and comfortable to wear. Again, these services are free-of-charge for the lifetime of any piece I make. For pieces I did not creaft, I'm happy to provide the same services for a fee.

Reliable Jewelry Repair Services

Accidents happen, and jewelry can suffer damage like broken chains, bent prongs, or scratched surfaces. Romano Gems offers repair services to fix these issues promptly and professionally. I assess each piece to recommend the best repair approach, whether it involves soldering, stone replacement, repolishing, re-cutting, reshaping, etc.

I also specialize in restoring vintage or heirloom jewelry, preserving sentimental value while improving functionality. This service is especially valuable for pieces with intricate designs or rare gemstones that require expert handling.

Every piece I manufacture is guaranteed for life against defects in materials or workmanship. Should a repair be required due to either material defect or craftsmanship, it will be performed at no cost.

Additional Services and Customer Support

I also provide resizing options to ensure a perfect fit for rings and bracelets. I myself am a non-standard-sized person and am intimately aware of the value of this service.

A service I offer on a case-by-case basis which is rarely offered anywhere is repair, repolish or recutting of colored gemstones (no diamonds). Not all gem designs or re-cuts will be feasible, practical or cost-effective and I reserve the right to not perform such services after evaluating a gem and explaining the impediment (at no charge, of course). If a recut and/or repolish is feasible and the stone is of quality and value to make the effort worthwhile, the transformation can be astonishing, as well as save a beloved heirloom.

Further, these services are performed in my USA-based studio. Your jewelry and gems never leave my premises, unlike so many jewelers who "farm out" the majority of their work to overseas service providers. Just the risk of having a piece lost forever in the shipping process for something as simple as a ring re-size is something I can't justify. Yes, such service providers are cheaper - that's all I'm going to say.

Customer support is a key part of my service philosophy. I will offer guidance on jewelry care at home and answer any questions you may have about gemstones, precious metals, and care or designs.
